Your UVIC PEA Bargaining Committee is pleased to announce we reached a tentative settlement with representatives of UVIC following a marathon bargaining session that stretched well into the evening of Thursday, June 17, 2010.
The Parties’ tentative agreement is for two years and is generally consistent with other public sector agreements reached in the health sector and public service.
Your Bargaining Committee is recommending that members ratify the agreement. We are working to develop a comprehensive information package and commit to providing members with full details of the settlement for the week of June 28th. After members receive the settlement information package we will be holding meetings to address any questions and to ensure that you are fully apprised of details. We would anticipate a ratification vote in late July or early August.
