As an Auxiliary employee, what does seniority mean to me?
Seniority is defined as the length of continuous service with the Okanagan Regional Library. Auxiliary employees who become regular employees will have time worked as an auxiliary credited to their seniority.
What do I do if my supervisor asks me to do something I do not think is in my job description?
Your supervisor may from time to time ask you to perform duties that are not outlined in you job description. The duty may come under other duties. If your supervisor ask you to do something on a regular basis that is not in your job description you may request a reclassification. The request will be made in writing to the Executive Director. The request will be adjudicated consistent with the Joint Job Evaluation Plan. The Executive Director shall provide in writing a decision on the reclassification within 30 working days.
