Nominations open December 5, 2008, for Government Licensed Professionals interested in attending the Association's 2009 Annual Convention scheduled for Friday, May 1st and Saturday, May 2nd in Victoria. Any GLP member may put their name forward as a delegate candidate by contacting a member of the GLP Nominating Committee listed below, or the PEA's Lower Mainland office.
GLP delegates to convention are elected by and from the members in six electoral regions established across the province as follows:
The number of delegate seats assigned to each region will be determined based on membership numbers in each region as of January 5, 2009. Members will be advised of the number of delegate seats assigned to each region, also on January 5th.
Successful candidates must be active members in good standing at the time of convention in May in order to be eligible to attend as delegates. Members of the GLP executive attend convention by right, as per the GLP Chapter Constitution.
Nominations will close at 4:30 PM, January 14th. Candidates are requested to complete a candidate profile form, available from any member of the Nominating Committee (below) or from the PEA's Lower Mainland office (glpexecutive@pea.org).
